I think I know why people get addicted to Mapcrunch* -- it's that globally exciting feeling of being lost in all the most interestingly mundane places in the world.



* Something that started on tumblr and that I first saw oxfordtweed post about -- you go to mapcrunch.com, which is a mashup of Google Streetview that deposits you in a random place, then try and find the airport. The nearest airport. Any airport you can find the way to. Just find the airport and get the hell out of Dodge. Dresden. Durban. Riihimäki. Those are the places where I have been playing.-
