Canon illustration for [livejournal.com profile] pastrydeity

Hi Sasha, have a Rebecca from 1860.-

She's from my father's old copy of 'Ivanhoe', and unfortunately, the only illustration in it.

Context: I had talked to [livejournal.com profile] arkadyevna on Daily Entertainment recently about canon illustrations from around the time the canon was written, and how it is cool to have them, if one is a mun of 19th century canon. And I vaguely remembered a n illustrated 'Ivanhoe' somewhere. The book has been found, but the one and only illustration is a frontispice of Rebecca.-

Sorry!

And I have this in somewhat larger resolution, if that's any use to you.-

Responding belatedly here (I'm really good at that!) but -- I just read your comment to [livejournal.com profile] tekalynn about the illustrated Rebecca having three hands. I didn't notice before, but now I can't stop looking at it! I wonder if that's supposed to be a glove?

And now I have a mental image of a mutant three-handed Rebecca in Bar. :D
