Canon illustration for
pastrydeity
Hi Sasha, have a Rebecca from 1860.-
She's from my father's old copy of 'Ivanhoe', and unfortunately, the only illustration in it.

Context: I had talked to
arkadyevna on Daily Entertainment recently about canon illustrations from around the time the canon was written, and how it is cool to have them, if one is a mun of 19th century canon. And I vaguely remembered a n illustrated 'Ivanhoe' somewhere. The book has been found, but the one and only illustration is a frontispice of Rebecca.-
Sorry!
And I have this in somewhat larger resolution, if that's any use to you.-

And I am totally butting in here, but this is lovely, though of course it leaves me wishing there were more illustrations. Thank you for sharing!
I did come across two other Rebecca-Brian pictures through my googling. Both are works by Eugene Delacroix, and both are versions of Rebecca's abduction by Brian (aided by his Saracen slaves). But I can't seem to find any decent hi-res images of them. Ah well!

I'm just sorry there wasn't anything in it for period iconnage for the Templar.-

And now I have a mental image of a mutant three-handed Rebecca in Bar. :D

Alas, all my copies of my various canons are paperback and not illustrated (though Neric's had illustrations originally).

Of course, if your Milli!Rebecca gets persecuted, she can take refuge in the bar, and maybe emigrate to another world. And my Milli!Teja would always be willing to go with her and fight a few fanatical Christians to get her father to safety as well.-
