Enough with the dualism!

Stephen Fry puts it very well!

Yes, indeed, Mr. Fry, why shouldn't I love cats and dogs, as I do?

Ha. Daniel likes to make disparaging comments about dogs, which I just don't get. I don't have a dog and wouldn't want one in the city, but I love dogs. I love all animals. It's true dogs and cats have their differences, but loving one doesn't mean you have to hate the other as a matter of course. I don't get it. But then again, I don't understand why people cheer on certain sports teams instead of cheering on both sides. :)

I don't even see the point of sports teams. Esp. now when teams "buy" players from one place and move them to another, so it's not really a local team from your area, your city, but just a bunch of guys/girls. People go nuts over it too, like the team = the city = their self-esteem. It's no wonder I was such a flop at sports. I played basketball 8 yrs. but never much cared about being competitive or winning anything :)

I adore dogs. Adore them.

And I also have a distinct fondness for cats, to the point where I once woke up in tears because the kitten my dream (a darling boy called Che) wasn't real.

I firmly support the ability to like both.
