I don't even see the point of sports teams. Esp. now when teams "buy" players from one place and move them to another, so it's not really a local team from your area, your city, but just a bunch of guys/girls. People go nuts over it too, like the team = the city = their self-esteem. It's no wonder I was such a flop at sports. I played basketball 8 yrs. but never much cared about being competitive or winning anything :)

It's fun if you don't take it seriously. Taken seriously, it's rather offensive, like overdone patriotism.
