OMG I hate that new header banner!! How do they manage it? Each header banner is worse than the one before, each header banner means days of cumbersome slowness while they change it when really it should be just one change in the central CSS file; and for the sake of little baby hedgehogs (and other veiled expletives), what is that esoteric wurly-burly on that banner supposed to mean??

What they really should incorporate is an off switch for the stupid things. I know I'd appreciate that - and use it often!

Healing hands.

The next one was stolen from a Japanese photographer. I even hinted very strongly, just short of saying she stole, and she had flocked her entry to boot, but it won.

Healing Hands...to go with their stupid hospital game thing...apparently to represent how they're continually taking steps closer to facebookdom.

Tribute to nurses and such. Why offensive?

You should have seen the other options; this was the only not obvious and gruesome one, as most commenters said.

Never disagreed with that.
One can adblock the graphics, IIRC it might swallow the links if they are the same colour.

I don't like it because the orangey colour makes my default icon look manky. I guess I just don't appreciate the implications.

It doesn't have to be healing hands. You might feel differently about it if it was someone reaching for the last jar of poteen on the top shelf.

That's the steam from the still.

See - looks better now, doesn't it? A couple of belts of that and you'll be feeling no pain!

Gather up the pots and the old tin can,
The mash, the corn, the barley and the bran
Run like the devil from the excise man

Keep the smoke from rising Barney

Yeah, it's obnoxious - and that, apparently was the winner.
