Heard someone say they had one yesterday, for the first time. Why do you want one? We all hated Wave and Buzz and reviled Google baring us for any stranger to investigate without us having added or even known them. What did I miss? Seriously!
I didn't, because I knew if you ever clicked Buzz you'd been linked to other identities. And Wave was pointless. It's just that I never had myspace or facebook and even tumblr isn't really worth it. I wonder if you use different platforms for different people or identities - but your tumblr is like LJ. See, I have goodreads and flickr, these are very different things to me, very specific. All other platforms - if I don't talk with my contacts in one, why would I in another etc.. If I don't meet like-minded people on LJ where there is fannish content, why would I on FB where you only say "I like".
*nods* I was just really looking for a new reason, one for myself. And I can't risk crossing my linked-but-seperate IDs. BTW, Google didn't give me access to my YouTube account, saying they only accept suchandsuch and no longer my old, non-Gmail related ID, with all my saved favs in it.
I have some Gmail invites I haven't used, not sure about Google invites, are they the same thing? (does not have techie head on tonight, obviously....)
I have enough that both you and elin_gregory could have one if you want them and they are what you are looking for?
See I could have sworn you had google, and I didn't see the plus sign last night! Honestly, I should not post when I have a head full of essay and am batch cooking cannelloni - it obviously doesn't do me any good!
Well I kind of hope Google can make it work, because right now Facebook has introduced this chat thing that you can not disable permanently and it's driving me absolutely bonkers. I hate it. Still, can't win 'em all right?

I am avoiding Facebook completely, but do see the advantage of networking with people like that. So I hope Google + will make it work.
