There is a plot vaguely brewing in my brain, but I'm not sure of anything yet. I think I'll get that special feature magazine about that war, though. Everything starts with reasearch.

And research is always interesting. My favorite part of my job is when I get to help with some serious research and learn something along the way.

When Borders was going out of business, I picked up a lot of nonfiction books, the majority of them about the Civil War but some on other topics.

I like to stuff my head full with research and then write with it all at my fingertips. I don't need to use it all, or infodump; I just like to write from where it's all there.

That makes sense. I just love collecting and reading since there's so much out there.
