'Tweeny, Yap, Teka, Lady and Abby liked my cat pics from yesterday and wanted more: here they are!
Also, Star Wars III. You should have seen the Nazgul - she was so wibbly on the way there, and before the movie started, I almost felt impelled to put a ball-and-chain to her Jedi boots so she wouldn't take off with excitement.
And then there was Darth Vader in the cinema, to general applause:

And then, instead of ads and normal trailers, they showed the five old Star Wars trailers, beginning with a pinkish, grainy original from 1977, to general cheers and mounting excitement.
And then it began.
I explained to 'Tweeny and Sal last night why I liked this movie better than Episodes I. and II., so I'm not going to bore you with it again.
And now, on popular demand, more kitty pics:

What wonderful yellow eyes she has!!

I like how the pattern of her fur is a bit broader than usual in tabbies, and almost symmetrical, like mirrored wood...

On my chair, with the toy tiger

All attentive

Something is very interesting...

Annihilating the captured string toy

Full length - mark the beautiful pattern!

Jumping for the soft rubber ball on my camera pouch
And not more Jedi!Nazgul from last night, in front of the movie poster to prove we were there...

Checking that everything is correct - Jedi garb is complicated!

You can see the correct Padawan braid, and read the poster (mostly)

Note the lightsabre! It doesn't have a knob to turn it on, yet, as the correct part hadn't been delivered in time.

Full-length Jedi, complete with very correct boots.
Apart from the Nazgul and Darth Vader, there were about a dozen more costumed fans in the cinema, but I must say the Nazgul's boots looked most like those in the movie.
The folds of the hood of the robe, though, nobody had got correctly...
So - I hope that's enough cat for the time being for all of you who wanted to see more. If I see her doing something very noteworthy, I will take more pics, of course. Plus, tell you a secret: when I'm not taking pictures, she's even much cuter! She can be very energetic, almost dementedly so, also very gentle (when she bites, or pushed my hand around with her paw, it never hurts at all!), and so very, very schmoopy at times.
I will miss her when she goes back to her usual people next Saturday; but first, I get to enjoy her more than a week longer...

podfor Svava! She's a beauty. And see, I told you, you won't be able to film her jump down! That is an excited/nervous looking Nazgul :D
no subject
And the pictures of the Nazgul were taken after the movie, when she'd already calmed down again! You should have seen her before; she wasn't fir to be photographed, as you'd have only seen the wibble, not the Nazgul at all.

Main thing is, we really enjoyed the movie.

And Star Wars - so you say it's worth the money? Or just better than 1 and 2? Well, for the sake of completeness, I think I have to go and watch it, just wondering how much to pay, i.e. which day to go.
no subject
All my flist is very very happy with it, but why pay more if you can get it cheaply.
I just shut off Trillian again coz you never show up!

Only the males smell nasty, you know. That is true for many species of mammals; for cats as well.

*blinks* what are we talking about now?

And tellya what, I didn't get this reply in the mail, or any other from this thread. Grrr?
Yep. Am not that much of a fan after all. But then my research revealed the difference is only 1E. And I won't be there on Monday and at work on Tuesday afternoon and no time on Wednesday, so I can go this weekend just as well. Just gotta find someone to go with.
Trillian?
no subject
Then go.
Trillian combines ICQ and Yahoo and MSN. I posted about it for a while and finally got it to work and won't change back now.
no subject
Like, you can get all icq or yim messages on it? Coolomat Alder. Well I'll try once I get that freakin laptop.
no subject
Yes! I despaired for ages but now it works wonderfully. You cannot get all the icons and smiley faces and doodle pads, all the stupd toys, but that's no use anyway.

I found the love story before the backdrop of Lake Como too kitschy for words, in part two; this time, the characterisation was infinitely better.
And the cat - no, it takes lots of time to get her right, and I have to throw away three of four pics I take because she's moving out of the frame all the time, or blurring the picture, or something.
Animal photography takes lots of patience!

See, last week I pondered seeing the OV of Kingdom of Heaven, then decided not to, and this week, bang, they've already kicked it out of the programme. Same for The Interpreter. Wah.
Star Wars Lovestories = Nothing but kitschy. But more evil = good! :-D

Get 'em while they're hot!KoH is worth it as well, but Orli does get on ones nerves a bit. The others are all the better, though.
no subject
I guess I'll have to wait for the DVD with this. No German-dubbing with me, except in an emergency.
no subject
But that's not the point to the movie. Hot men you get elsewhere. Despite the Nazgul's predilection for Liam Neeson, I don't think there ever has been a fellow on a SW movie that I would get the hots for...
no subject
Yep, me neither. *wants new Bond movies*
no subject
And that Ani guy, I would just smack him against the next wall though I doubt I can smack hard enough. He's got 'male-toad-syndrom' like Orli. More later?
no subject
Well, there wasn't much blood in SW II., I do admit that, but all the more burnination...
*remembers Ani being truncated and then burnt to a crisp*

and that old Irish geezerare the annoying ones.no subject

Corvus Corax are on next week, no other Goth band scheduled :)
no subject
I quite like them and have several of their records...
I've seen them in their Elcetro crossover incarnation as 'Tanzwut' playing at Tollwood festival a few years ago, as supporting group to Apocalyptica.
Acoustics were grottaceous in that tent, but the bagpipes were so impressive.

And why am I always right?!
no subject
But I'll buy your verdict on the Woman. Women are always crappy in movies like this. They could just as well leave them out.
no subject
Well, you saw my ramblings. And everyone on my flist agrees on her awfullness (except d_d, but she's deluded) and Orlando's performance.
I am hungry. But you know that. Now go install Trillian everywhere you can. That's an order.
no subject
LOL at the ().
Nah. Can't. Told you. Must mutiny, then.

*flagellates you* And that's got nothing to do with the musical instrument.

The Jedi costume ROCKS.

I'll be sad when she has to go home the weekend after next.
