'Tweeny, Yap, Teka, Lady and Abby liked my cat pics from yesterday and wanted more: here they are!

Also, Star Wars III. You should have seen the Nazgul - she was so wibbly on the way there, and before the movie started, I almost felt impelled to put a ball-and-chain to her Jedi boots so she wouldn't take off with excitement.

And then there was Darth Vader in the cinema, to general applause:

And then, instead of ads and normal trailers, they showed the five old Star Wars trailers, beginning with a pinkish, grainy original from 1977, to general cheers and mounting excitement.

And then it began.

I explained to 'Tweeny and Sal last night why I liked this movie better than Episodes I. and II., so I'm not going to bore you with it again.

And now, on popular demand, more kitty pics:

What wonderful yellow eyes she has!!

I like how the pattern of her fur is a bit broader than usual in tabbies, and almost symmetrical, like mirrored wood...

All attentive

Something is very interesting...

Annihilating the captured string toy

Full length - mark the beautiful pattern!

Jumping for the soft rubber ball on my camera pouch

And not more Jedi!Nazgul from last night, in front of the movie poster to prove we were there...

Checking that everything is correct - Jedi garb is complicated!

You can see the correct Padawan braid, and read the poster (mostly)

Note the lightsabre! It doesn't have a knob to turn it on, yet, as the correct part hadn't been delivered in time.

Full-length Jedi, complete with very correct boots.

Apart from the Nazgul and Darth Vader, there were about a dozen more costumed fans in the cinema, but I must say the Nazgul's boots looked most like those in the movie.

The folds of the hood of the robe, though, nobody had got correctly...

So - I hope that's enough cat for the time being for all of you who wanted to see more. If I see her doing something very noteworthy, I will take more pics, of course. Plus, tell you a secret: when I'm not taking pictures, she's even much cuter! She can be very energetic, almost dementedly so, also very gentle (when she bites, or pushed my hand around with her paw, it never hurts at all!), and so very, very schmoopy at times.

I will miss her when she goes back to her usual people next Saturday; but first, I get to enjoy her more than a week longer...

Heee, the landing pod for Svava! She's a beauty. And see, I told you, you won't be able to film her jump down!

That is an excited/nervous looking Nazgul :D

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
*lol* you are undermining her reputation. And collecting blackmail material ;P

[identity profile] woelfle.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 02:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Meeeoooowww! That cat surely likes posing for a photo, right? Thanks so much for the beautiful piccies!

And Star Wars - so you say it's worth the money? Or just better than 1 and 2? Well, for the sake of completeness, I think I have to go and watch it, just wondering how much to pay, i.e. which day to go.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Cats, posing? Pshaw, never. You have to be quick.

All my flist is very very happy with it, but why pay more if you can get it cheaply.

I just shut off Trillian again coz you never show up!

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Yap exists on Y!M or AIM as well? Wow!!

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
She should show herself again and ping me on AIM at 'sootymun'.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 02:27 pm (UTC)(link)
No chance - see our ongoing confusing discussions in her last two posts! She is never online. Je suis tres alone.

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Poor 'Tweeny - you should get yourself a cat, you should...

*smiles*

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 02:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I know :S but you know why I can't. Plus these days I am so insecure thinking if I'm really just a needy old spinster in need of a good *hates the word* :( Plus I would not want her on couches and furniture!

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, something's got to give. Svava doesn't do much damage to the furniture, just leaves a few hairs for the hoover.

Only the males smell nasty, you know. That is true for many species of mammals; for cats as well.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 03:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but even though I am much much better than my parents, who banned them, I still don't want her everywhere. Not in the bed-room at all and not on the kitchentops ever.

*blinks* what are we talking about now?

[identity profile] woelfle.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Ack! See? I never got any of this conversation in my mail! Indeed, as inbetweenerl said, I have IDs on several chat programmes, but hardly ever use them, due to not having internet on my own personal computer.

[identity profile] woelfle.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 02:38 pm (UTC)(link)
But that "full length" pic? That looks like lovely, endearing, posing to me! :-p
And tellya what, I didn't get this reply in the mail, or any other from this thread. Grrr?

Yep. Am not that much of a fan after all. But then my research revealed the difference is only 1E. And I won't be there on Monday and at work on Tuesday afternoon and no time on Wednesday, so I can go this weekend just as well. Just gotta find someone to go with.

Trillian?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
No, they just sit so neatly. But when you look at them they tend to come to you (or run away) so she might have wanted food.

Then go.

Trillian combines ICQ and Yahoo and MSN. I posted about it for a while and finally got it to work and won't change back now.

[identity profile] woelfle.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 03:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Neat. Damn. Another thing cats are and I'm not, although I'd like to. ;-)

Like, you can get all icq or yim messages on it? Coolomat Alder. Well I'll try once I get that freakin laptop.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha! Ha. Yeah. They give the pretention of neatness. Another thing I am able to do and cannot back up in reality.

Yes! I despaired for ages but now it works wonderfully. You cannot get all the icons and smiley faces and doodle pads, all the stupd toys, but that's no use anyway.

[identity profile] woelfle.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 02:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Yessir! *salutes* If I find a dunderhead to go with me, that is. I'm not in much of a hurry, only an intermediate one, as of course I want to see it in English, and the possibilities, even with a big fat blockbuster, are limited.

See, last week I pondered seeing the OV of Kingdom of Heaven, then decided not to, and this week, bang, they've already kicked it out of the programme. Same for The Interpreter. Wah.

Star Wars Lovestories = Nothing but kitschy. But more evil = good! :-D

[identity profile] woelfle.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm. Dunno about hot. Or has Ewan's hairstyle improved since the last one? :-D

I guess I'll have to wait for the DVD with this. No German-dubbing with me, except in an emergency.

[identity profile] woelfle.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 03:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah alright. So it's from stiff long hair to stiff short hair. ;-)

Yep, me neither. *wants new Bond movies*

[identity profile] nazgulwears.livejournal.com 2005-05-20 02:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Weeeeelllll....I think Qui-Gon/Liam Neeson is really tasty (though way too tall for me). Ewan McGregor looked okay in Ep I & II though only good enough for a nice chat and hot chocolate.
And that Ani guy, I would just smack him against the next wall though I doubt I can smack hard enough. He's got 'male-toad-syndrom' like Orli. More later?

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't believe her on KoH - Orlando is good! The woman and that old Irish geezer are the annoying ones.

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
The Nazgul would have your balls (if you had any!) for the slur on Liam Neeson...

*evil grin*

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 03:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, you said so before. And I am smugly safe far, far away from her! Plus, we'd already fight over Jason.

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
You might not always be...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 03:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Pshaw. She doesn't know my name, looks or address *glares at you*

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh dear, if the threat of the Nazgul looms over your flat, I might not ;P

Corvus Corax are on next week, no other Goth band scheduled :)

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, here, as I said. In the Arena.
And why am I always right?!

[identity profile] woelfle.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Old Irish geezer? Sounds like someone I might like. Bwahahahaah! :-D

But I'll buy your verdict on the Woman. Women are always crappy in movies like this. They could just as well leave them out.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yes, you surely like Liam *sigh*

Well, you saw my ramblings. And everyone on my flist agrees on her awfullness (except d_d, but she's deluded) and Orlando's performance.

I am hungry. But you know that. Now go install Trillian everywhere you can. That's an order.

[identity profile] woelfle.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
:-p

LOL at the ().

Nah. Can't. Told you. Must mutiny, then.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2005-05-19 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I am thinking of forwarding d_d the link but she's busy now ;P

*flagellates you* And that's got nothing to do with the musical instrument.

[identity profile] floppy-hat.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
What an adorable kitty! :) *squee*

[identity profile] tekalynn.livejournal.com 2005-05-19 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
What a beauty! She's so photogenic. (I'm referring to the cat. I could be referring to the Nazgul, come to think of it.)

The Jedi costume ROCKS.

[identity profile] nazgulwears.livejournal.com 2005-05-20 02:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! The sleeves of the outer tunic are too long (I'll fix that) and the sleeves of the robe are too short (can't fix that but it's not that bad). I just didn't want to wear the cream coloured version as I thought every other Jedi would (and they did).
