In the Geek House
Dec. 21st, 2004 10:40 amI'm in a proper Geek house now. My sister and her husband have a W(ireless)LAN and a sekrit web site. So do you know how evenings are spent here?
We sat in the living room last night, tamely, Sphinx on one sofa, Markus on the second, me on the easy chair, each with their notebook computer in front of them, WLAN card blinking green, talking lightly and playing a bit with the baby in his playpen while they were poking their communities and I was having a long conversation as Asar-Suti with Bartleby at the Crackbar.
Afterwards, the computers were cleared away to go under the sofas where they live when not in use.
Very civilised life style.
