May. 23rd, 2005 02:03 amI watched 'The Importance of Being Earnest' with the Nazgul today.
There were those two young women, Gwendolen and Cecily. They both had diaries and lived very much through them, wriiting even while things happened, and cultivating a rich fantasy life in them. And when they became friends or co-conspirators, they sat and read each other's diaries.
It reminded me of LJ, of friending, and of fanfic (the way Cecily dreamed of knights) - there is nothing new under the sun.
We use those new technologies just to be human in, as always.
'Heuriger Grüner Veltliner' is a very nice wine, this year as it was last year...
