Pirates 2 - at last!!!

Due to the usual dubbing and licensing nonsense, Pirates 2 opens in Germany today, so the midnight premiere was - just now, actually, I've returned only five minutes ago.

It must be hotter here than in the Caribbean, though.

nazgulwears , being a costuming type of fan, made us both pirate hats for the event, so I now own a very lovely medium brown tricorne felt hat with which I've already succeeded in a) flagging down a cab and b) scaring a poor drunk bum. Pictures of the hat tomorrow; I have a mind of replacing me-with-cat with me-with-hat once I do get the pictures.

Oh, yes, the movie (these aren't spoilers, these are teasers for the few people on my list that haven't seen the movie yet: go see it!): it is totally on crack, with the vaguest hidden undercurrent of political satire, and random, hilarious sillines with mangoes.
