If I ever had a son, he'd be called Ruadhrigh, after one of Eamon deValera's sons. Not even dValera and his wife were certain how to properly spell that as Irishly as possible, but it's pronounced 'Rory'.

I wouldn't; names are given and should be accepted unless they are demeaning, ridiculous or both. Even then, I would ask somebody for a new name instead of picking one myself. Sphinx, most likely; she's good at names.
