Entities at work

There I was, at the Wraeththu chat for the first time in several weeks, when Flick, one of the "hara" from Marburg, posted a link to a picture of a pretty long-haired young man she had found around and put on her desktop.

Totally randomly. A propos of nothing whatsoever. Spontaneous picture pimping.

I wouldn't even have clicked the link, only the URL contained the string "androbertson".

I screeched, I clicked, and there he was: the pretty unknown young man from Flick's desktop was Mr Pointy, as in Tomjon Vitoller (thetomjon) from the discworld_rpg, or rather, the fellow that his RPer, schiarire, cast as him for his LJ icons, one Andrew Robertson. A new picture, not known to us before, and apparently rather recent, and so suggestive. Not to say seductive. No shirt, either.

You know, Andrew Robertson pictures are really hard to find, above and beyond a few press photos from "Gormenghast". So how did Flick find him? By not looking for him! She just found some pretty young random with long hair when idly surfing the web, put him on her desktop and never had the slightest idea who he might be until I explained to her in great detail just now...
