Yay, we have a new DSL Modem! That is, the Metropolitans have one, and I share the good luck. Last night, we suddenly went offline. So I spent the evening reading "Swordspoint", and the morning making more icons for [livejournal.com profile] cpt_tantony, and now we're online again, I have to go to work. Blah!

But before I do, I will cheekily repost something dear [livejournal.com profile] _inbetween_ has scanned, because all the Dyskworlders on my list will appreciate it as well. Plumbers and Dunnikin Divers, anyone?

And: special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] freeformchick for freeing my mind from the tyranny of 100x100 pixels. Just because we can have it, it doesn't mean we have to use it to the utmost. That's something which is wrong with the world in general, I find. Hmm. Excuse the sententiousness. In any case, all my non-square icons for the Captain come out rather interesting; and I'm going to make more later, too.

For [livejournal.com profile] _inbetween_ and all others not associated with the Discworld RPG: that there is a sub-bucket full of over 60 James Frain icons.

ETA: Penelope, look at what [livejournal.com profile] litsares has added to our Assassin story line! I think her flock includes you, but I'll encourage her to post it to the comm in any case. It's utterly brilliant, anyway. Underworld, I so have to run to work now!!

More and more, the entries on my f-list are f-locked; I need to log in as myself to see what is going on. Even I have been known to post entries f-locked to my "Dyskworlders" friends' group when I didn't want to spam everybody with [livejournal.com profile] discworld_rpg related stuff, or was being sentimental, or both.

But somehow, everybody has lately started doing that. I know about some people, but generally I wonder whether that is just something goiong around memtically, like a mental cold, or what people really are afraid of.

Also, there is that one point where the concept of "private tags" we're using at the Discworld RPG is superior to the actual f-locking: there, you can take not only whole posts, but also comments and even parts of comments private and hide them from all the other characters (while the muns read on all the more avidly). On actual LJ, I need to know somebody's email address and mail them.
